Natick Service Council to Host 6th Annual Telethon on Wednesday March 22nd

NATICK, MA: March 2017

On Wednesday, March 22nd from 6-9pm, Natick Service Council (NSC) is hosting its 6th Annual “Neighbors Helping Neighbors Telethon” which will be broadcast live on Natick Pegasus channels 3, 29 and 99.   This year’s telethon will be hosted by Andy Meyer and Richard Gill and feature local community groups who will be performing and helping to raise awareness and much needed funding for the organization.

The list of talent includes Rene Rancourt who will kick off the event by singing the National Anthem, Allegro Music School, Ryan Kaplan, Impulse Dance Center, Natick Drama Workshop, NHS A Capella group Seven’s Not Enough, and NHS Pop Idol winner Samantha Popp.  In addition, live interviews will be held with community partners and on air-check presentations will take place with local businesses that have sponsored the event.  Local band Stacey Peasley and Friends will be playing live as well.

“Over $190,000 has been raised since the first telethon and this year’s goal has been raised to $50,000 in order to meet the growing need for food and direct financial assistance for rent and heat in our community.   Last year alone, NSC supported over 700 families in Natick and we couldn’t do it without the support of our community,” said Greg Tutuny, Natick Service Council’s Executive Director.

Local businesses like Brigham-Gill Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, Jesamondo Salon and Spa, Coach & Carriage Auto Body, Roche Bros. and MutualOne Bank have already stepped up and committed to supporting the event but more pledges are needed in order to reach the $50,000 goal.  Local residents are encouraged to watch Pegasus and pledge by visiting NatickServiceCouncil.org or calling in during the show.
