Welcome NSC’s New Executive Director, Rachel Vingsness!

The Natick Service Council (NSC) is proud to announce that Rachel Vingsness has been appointed as the organization’s next Executive Director, beginning December 1, 2025. Rachel has been an integral part of NSC as Director of Operations, where her steady leadership, compassion, and commitment to community have touched countless lives.
Rachel will succeed Dan Shea, who has served as Executive Director with dedication and heart since 2020. Under Dan’s leadership, NSC expanded its reach, strengthened its programs, and provided vital resources to thousands of Natick residents. His tireless efforts embody the spirit of NSC’s motto: neighbors helping neighbors.
“Rachel is a natural leader who understands both the heart and the operations of our work,” said Donna Casey, Chair of the NSC Board of Directors. “She is deeply rooted in our mission and our community, and we are confident she will continue to lead with the same compassion and care that Dan has shown throughout his tenure.”
Rachel shared her excitement about the new role: “It has been an honor to serve alongside the NSC team and witness the power of neighbors helping neighbors every day. I am grateful for the foundation Dan has built and look forward to working with our staff, volunteers, and community partners to continue supporting our neighbors in need.”
The NSC Board and community extend heartfelt thanks to Dan Shea for his many years of leadership. His vision and accomplishments leave a lasting legacy, and his impact will be felt in Natick for years to come.
